Painted stone and artsy bracelet holder

Hello everyone!

I was feeling crafty a few days ago and wanted to make something decorative for my room but also something with a purpose as well. I was scrolling down Pinterest and I came across some beautifully painted stones and because I had a lot of different stones collected from trips and hikes I thought "what a good idea" :) And I also have seen this wonderful post on one of my favorite website, I totally fell in love with the stones and just the whole setup.

So I prepared my acrylic paint set, some small brushes, chose a big, heart shaped stone and a little round stone I liked, drawn out the design I wanted to paint and got to it. I ended up with two different designs of stones, one is like a summery blue and white design and the other one, my favorite is a black and white owl design.
I really like how they turned out, I am no professional painter or anything but it was easy to do, and they look great on my vanity table!
To complete the summery "by the see" feeling that I got from the post on DesignLoveFest website I decided to also make a decorative wooden piece, that I have been seeing all over different design sites and magazines. I found a cool looking branch on a hike, a few weeks ago and couldn't figure out what to do with it until now. So I cleaned it and painted it white. It looks so clean and cool on it's own as well but I thought it would make a great bracelet holder so I stacked a few of favorite, chunky bracelets on it and I love, love, love the look of it!

So here are some photos of the process and the end results. Enjoy and tell me what you think about them, and maybe try them out as well :)

P.S.: Follow me on Pinterest if you would like!

Polka dot headphones - easy DIY

Hello there!

I tried a cute and simple DIY the other day, and I thought why not share it, right?
I had these simple white, no name but quite good quality headphones and I wanted to make them a little more fun and pretty, so I took a pastel baby blue nail polish and decorated it :)
I really love how they turned out, it was fast, easy and now they are unique and fun for summer time!
So I made a little photo collage to make things easier to understand :) But first here are the thing you will need and the steps to make these adorable headphones.

You will need:

  • simple/old/boring headphones
  • colorful nail polishes
That's it:)

Step 1 - Clean the headphones with water or a little rubbing alcohol.
Step 2 - Choose your nail polishes. You can use one color, like I did, or you can make it colorful! As you wish:)
Step 3 - Apply the nail polish dots or little flowers or whatever little decoration you choose.(an aztec print would be really pretty as well, that's what I will do next time)
Step 4 - Let it dry!

And you're done! Enjoy your pretty headphones :)

New chapter

Hello there!
My name is Orsolya, I'm a 23 year old girl, living in Transylvania, studying art history, who shares a love for fashion, arts and crafts, traveling and coffee, lots and lots of it.
One of my new years resolutions this year was to start a blog. My own blog.
I follow a lot of style, fashion, diet and diy blogs, I read them every day, so I thought why not start one myself. Ever since I can remember I loved anything to do with fashion, style, clothes and shoes and do it yourself (diy) ideas. I love to dress funky and vintage most of the times, I love to add something unique to my outfits, a handmade accessory, a vintage bag, or just a little something to make it stand out from the ordinary.
I realised that I've saved hundreds of photos on my laptop of inspiring outfits, new trends, interior designs and most of all diy projects. But I would like to inspire others as well. I would like to share my style, my thought on different things, my experiences and hope that someone will be interested in them...
Also I noticed that most of the blogs I follow are slightly unrealistic for us, everyday girls. I mean, as much as I love drooling over the wonderful designer clothes, shoes and accessories famous bloggers post about, I know I can't afford it. However I am sure I can find something similar that I also love or better yet I can make it myself! Because I love thrift stores and I love being creative!
So I would like to inspire others like me, with a budget but with a love for fashion and style. I plan to post my outfits and outfit ideas for different occasions, photos of places that I travel to, diy projects, anything and everything that I think it's inspiring or makes me smile.
So if you would like to see simple and wearable outfit ideas, a lot of diy projects for clothes, accessories, interior decor pieces and so on, please follow me and feel free to leave comments and feedback :)
See you soon!
Love, Orsoly.
